Potty Poetry Poetry may sound like an unusual choice for reluctant readers but this poetry series is different from others on the market. Published by King's England Press, the poems are full of the type of humour that appeals to boys - knickers, loos, spots and people falling over. The series began when Gez Walsh decided to write a book to encourage his dyslexic son to read. That first book was The Spot on my Bum - a title guaranteed to attract children's attention. Other titles are equally eye-catching and so are the poems inside. They are definitely not in the best possible taste but that's part of their appeal.
Here are the books that particularly appealed to pupils at our local school. You can see a full list of titles on the Potty Poets website.
