Hello, we're Steve and Diana Kimpton - the people behind The Word Pool.

We've had huge fun running this site for over 10 years, but we've now run out of steam and want to spend more time on our other projects, especially www.contactanauthor.co.uk, and Diana's books. As a result, we've decided to stop adding new reviews to the site for the time being so please don't send us any more review copies.

We'll still be updating the Writing for Children section from time to time and may even occassionally add a new book review if we spot something exceptional that might otherwise get overlooked. And, of course, all the existing reviews will stay online so the site will hopefully continue to be a useful resource for anyone interested in choosing or writing children's books.
